WHAT:
5th Annual Parker College of Business Gala and Awards Ceremony. The 5th Annual Parker College of Business Gala will bring together leaders from Georgia’s business community and Parker College alumni, faculty and students to celebrate the Parker College of Business’s impact throughout the state and region. All net proceeds from the gala will support student scholarships.
Featured speakers at the gala will include Parker College of Business Dean Nivine Richie and Parker’s Kitchen founder and Executive Chairman Greg Parker, who made a record $5 million gift to name the Parker College of Business at Georgia Southern University in 2018.
Sharon Ponder, a 1994 accounting graduate who serves as the Vice President of Finance for Bennett International Group, the largest female-owned logistics firm in the country, will be presented with the 2026 Distinguished Service Award. Synovus, one of the nation’s leading banks, will be honored with the 2026 Outstanding Corporate Partner Award.
The Parker College of Business at Georgia Southern University creates successful business professionals who lead the way to a prosperous future through impactful teaching, grounded research and practical experiential service opportunities. The college graduates more than 1,000 students annually and has more than 30,000 alumni across the country and around the world.
