At its heart, The Coastal Buzz exists to spotlight the people, businesses, nonprofits, events, and everyday moments helping our communities thrive. We serve Savannah, Pooler, Bloomingdale, Rincon, Richmond Hill and the surrounding Coastal Empire including the Lowcountry with HHI, Bluffton, Beaufort & Hardeeville.

Relationships have also always been at the center of this. Chris has called Savannah home since age 14, and over the decades we’ve built deep roots and relationships in this community. That trust has shaped this platform in meaningful ways, from local leaders and nonprofits to trusted PR firms who help bring great stories our way.
That’s part of why this feels bigger than a website to us. It feels like community.
You’ll also see us talk often about our Buzz Partners. We intentionally don’t think of businesses on this platform as advertisers. They’re partners — businesses and organizations with real ties to this region that help strengthen our communities. Supporting local matters to us, and we love helping connect our readers with businesses doing good work close to home.
The Coastal Buzz is also a family-built vision. We’ve always believed storytelling can leave a legacy, and that heart is woven into this brand. Over time, you’ll see that reflected even more through areas like Youth Buzz and Kidz Buzz as our children grow into their own roles in the mission.
Looking ahead, we see The Coastal Buzz continuing to grow far beyond articles alone. From our upcoming 40 Over 40 Awards, to future Buzz Awards, to expanded coverage across the Coastal Empire and Lowcountry, our vision is to help build a trusted positive media voice for this region for years to come.
And while that vision has grown, the heart of it remains simple.
