What a week.

When you step back and really look at what happened across Metro Savannah and the Coastal Empire this week, one thing becomes clear:
Momentum is everywhere.
This is exactly why The Coastal Buzz exists, to spotlight what’s growing, what’s working, and what’s worth celebrating in our region.
Here’s a look at what we shared this week and why it matters.
🎶 A Major Cultural Move for Savannah
The Savannah Voice Festival appointed acclaimed conductor Andrew Bisantz as its new Artistic Director.
This is a huge cultural win.
Savannah continues to strengthen its position as a destination for world-class arts and performance. Leadership moves like this elevate our city’s reputation nationally and internationally. When organizations attract top-tier talent, it signals growth, vision, and long-term stability.
That’s not small.
That’s legacy building.
🏡 Real Estate Excellence Making Waves
This week was strong in real estate leadership and recognition.
Six Seabolt Real Estate professionals were inducted into Christie’s Master’s Circle for 2026, setting an all-time firm record. That’s excellence at a national level with local roots.
Broe Real Estate Group donated $50,000 to Effingham County Schools. That’s impact beyond transactions, that’s community investment.
Judge Realty welcomed residential realtor Rhonda Pulte to their team, showing continued growth and expansion in the housing market.
Real estate isn’t just about homes. It reflects confidence in a region’s future. And right now, the confidence is strong.
💼 Business & Economic Strength on Display
Savannah Speech and Hearing Center received a generous grant from Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. That’s corporate leadership stepping up to support vital community services.
SESOLinc was named Manufacturing Partner of World Trade Center Savannah. That’s global trade connection meeting local innovation.
And when companies are earning national recognition and attracting strategic partnerships, it reinforces something I’ve believed for years:
The Coastal Empire is not just growing, it’s positioning itself.
🎙️ Conversations That Matter
Barbara Treadwell launched a new podcast, “Love and Money,” exploring the connection between our finances and our relationships.
This is the kind of storytelling that builds stronger families and stronger communities. It’s not just business, it’s impact.
We also saw Emily McCarthy announce the Invite Joy Fund to benefit local nonprofits, another powerful example of success flowing back into the community.
That’s the kind of cycle we love to see.
🤝 Nonprofit Leadership & Service
Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society issued a call for nominations for its 2026 Night of Champions, highlighting individuals making a difference.
Coastal Heritage Society welcomed Sam Evans to its Board of Trustees and unveiled a new executive committee, strengthening leadership for one of our region’s historic pillars.
And sixteen Oliver Maner lawyers earned spots on the 2026 Georgia Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists, a significant professional achievement that reflects excellence within our legal community.
When nonprofits, law firms, and civic organizations elevate leadership, that creates long-term regional stability.
🚀 What This Week Really Shows
When you zoom out, here’s what stands out:
• Arts leadership strengthening
• Real estate momentum rising
• Corporate philanthropy increasing
• Manufacturing expanding
• Professional recognition climbing
• Nonprofits growing
• New initiatives launching
This is a region accelerating.
Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, Rincon, Effingham County, and the surrounding Coastal Empire are not standing still. There is forward motion everywhere you look.
And this is why we stay focused on positive news.
Because when you look for growth, you see growth.
When you look for leadership, you find it.
When you choose to spotlight momentum, it multiplies.
🌊 Why This Matters
There are plenty of outlets covering controversy, conflict, and negativity.
Our lane is different.
The Coastal Buzz exists to document the momentum.
To highlight leadership.
To amplify excellence.
To connect community wins.
To show that progress is happening right here at home.
This week wasn’t quiet.
It was powerful.
And if this is just one week in February, I can’t wait to see what the rest of 2026 brings.
If you’re a business, nonprofit, or organization making an impact in Metro Savannah and the Coastal Empire, we want to spotlight you.
Editor’s Note: This weekly recap highlights stories published on The Coastal Buzz during the past week. It is not intended to represent everything happening across Metro Savannah or the Coastal Empire. Our goal is to spotlight the positive news, business developments, nonprofit initiatives, and community milestones that were featured on our platform. If you have a story that aligns with our mission of uplifting the people and places of our region, we’d love to hear from you.
Let’s keep building.
