HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — Ken Weisner, author and experiential learning facilitator, has released The Power of Play, a nonfiction book examining how play can strengthen connection, creativity and well-being in both work and life.

In The Power of Play, Weisner draws on research, personal experience and facilitated group activities to demonstrate how intentional play can improve communication, deepen relationships, and foster engagement across teams, families, and communities. The book challenges the idea that play is only for children, positioning it instead as a practical and accessible tool for adults navigating leadership, collaboration and personal growth.
“Play isn’t about games for the sake of fun alone,” Weisner said. “It’s about creating space for curiosity, trust and human connection.”
Weisner is the founder of Beach Play Company and has spent years designing and leading interactive experiences for organizations, teams and community groups. His work focuses on soft-skills development, including communication, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence, using simple, low-barrier activities rooted in play.
The Power of Play is available through independent bookstores and through his publisher, Healthy Learning. Weisner is currently booking book readings, signings and speaking engagements.
