Late this spring or early summer, we’re launching something that means more to me than most projects we’ve done over the years.

We’re officially introducing Youth Buzz, and with it, Lil Chris stepping into his role as Jr. Executive & Director of Youth Buzz for The Coastal Buzz.
Yes, he’s 14.
And that’s exactly the point.
Most platforms use adults to tell youth stories. Adults interpret what young people are doing. Adults frame the narrative. Adults speak on their behalf.
We’re doing something different.
Our 14-year-old son will be spotlighting youth in our community directly.
Youth Buzz will focus on:
• Student leaders
• Young entrepreneurs
• Youth volunteers
• Athletes
• Creative talent
• Service projects
• School initiatives
• Faith-driven youth impact
• Rising voices across the Coastal Empire
We believe the next generation doesn’t need to wait until they’re 30 to be recognized.
They’re leading now.
They’re building now.
They’re serving now.
And they deserve a platform now.
Lil Chris has grown up around interviews, cameras, events, and community conversations. He’s watched how stories are told. He understands our positive-only mission. And more importantly, he has a heart for encouraging others.
This isn’t about putting a kid on camera for novelty.
It’s about building legacy.
It’s about leadership development.
It’s about giving young people a voice through someone who is walking in their shoes right now.
Youth Buzz will live under The Coastal Buzz, carrying the same mission we’ve always had:
Spotlighting the people and places of Metro Savannah and the Coastal Empire.
Just through a younger lens.
As Jr. Executive & Director of Youth Buzz, Lil Chris will help:
• Identify youth stories
• Conduct interviews
• Spotlight positive impact
• Represent the next generation of leadership
I’ve lived in this area since I was 14 years old. I’ve watched our region grow and evolve. Now I get to watch my own son step into serving this same community in a new way.
That’s special.
This isn’t just a segment launch.
It’s generational investment.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll share more details on how schools, nonprofits, youth organizations, and families can nominate young leaders to be featured.
If you’re a parent, principal, coach, youth pastor, or community leader, stay tuned.
The future of the Coastal Empire is already rising.
And Youth Buzz is here to spotlight it.
