Oliver Maner Launches Annual Drive to Support Union Mission’s Magdalene House

In recognition of Homeless Awareness Month, Oliver Maner LLP invites community to donate essential items throughout November

SAVANNAH, Ga. – In recognition of November’s Homeless Awareness Month, Oliver Maner LLP is continuing its annual tradition of giving back with its sixth annual donation drive benefiting Union Mission. This year’s monthlong community donation drive will support Union Mission’s Don & Kaye Kole Magdalene House, which provides emergency housing and supportive services for mothers and children experiencing homelessness.

Beginning November 1, Oliver Maner will invite community members, businesses and organizations to donate much-needed household and personal care items to help furnish and stock the newly renovated Magdalene House and provide ongoing essentials for the families it will serve.

“At Oliver Maner, we believe supporting our community means showing up for our neighbors when they need it most,” said Amelia Stevens of Oliver Maner LLP. “Our annual donation drive is something our team looks forward to each year, and we’re especially excited to support Magdalene House as it prepares to welcome families into its newly renovated space. From helping make the house feel like home to providing everyday essentials for the families who will live there, every donation makes a difference.”

The drive comes as Union Mission prepares to celebrate the grand reopening of Magdalene House on November 10. The renovated facility will feature expanded family space, eight private bedrooms and bathrooms, and updated interiors designed to better serve mothers and children experiencing homelessness. These improvements will allow Union Mission to support an additional 10 mothers and 20 to 30 children each year.

“The transformation of Magdalene House represents an incredible investment in the future of women and children experiencing homelessness in our community,” said Michael Traynor, President and CEO of Union Mission. “Creating a welcoming home goes beyond the renovations themselves. The everyday essentials collected through Oliver Maner’s annual drive will help us provide the comfort, dignity and support these families deserve as they work toward a more stable future. We’re grateful for Oliver Maner’s continued partnership and commitment to our mission.”

Community members interested in supporting the drive can purchase items directly through Oliver Maner’s Amazon Wish List or drop off new, unused donations at the firm’s downtown Savannah office, located at 218 W. State Street, during regular business hours from November 1 through November 30.

Through its continued partnership with Union Mission, Oliver Maner hopes to raise awareness of homelessness in the Savannah community while encouraging residents to take action and make a meaningful difference for local families.
