SAVANNAH, GA —Senior Citizens Inc. is now accepting nominations for its 10th Annual Legends, Leaders & Life Well Lived Awards, celebrating individuals whose lives exemplify purpose, service, and a lasting commitment to making our community stronger.

For a decade, the awards have recognized men and women whose vision, compassion, and dedication have strengthened our community and enriched the lives of others, celebrating the enduring legacy of individuals whose influence continues to inspire future generations.
“One of the greatest privileges we have as a community is the opportunity to recognize those whose lives have made a lasting difference,” said Patti Lyons, President of Senior Citizens Inc. “For ten years, these awards have celebrated individuals whose leadership, generosity, and commitment to others have helped shape not only Coastal Georgia but every community where they have lived. We encourage our community to nominate someone whose story deserves to be honored and shared.”
The Legends, Leaders & Life Well Lived Awards recognize individuals whose impact extends far beyond professional accomplishments. Honorees have included civic leaders, educators, philanthropists, healthcare professionals, business leaders, historians, volunteers, advocates, and others whose lifetime of service has strengthened the fabric of our community.
The 2026 honorees—Pat Hackney, Shirley Barber James, and Dr. Paul Pressly—joined a distinguished list of past recipients whose collective contributions have helped define Savannah’s character and spirit.
Nomination Criteria:
- Nominee must be a minimum of 70 years old
- A resident of Bryan, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, or McIntosh counties
- Displayed leadership that has inspired and influenced others
- Have a legacy of service, generosity, innovation, and/or civic engagement
- Created a lasting impact that continues to benefit future generations
Nominations may be submitted by individuals, businesses, organizations, colleagues, friends, or family members.
Nominations Now Open for 2027.
The nomination period is open through October 16, 2026.
