Current Edge Solutions Safety Manager Receives National Fire Protection Association Designation
SAVANNAH, Ga., – Current Edge Solutions Safety Manager Cameron Talbot recently was designated as a Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) by the National Fire Protection Association. The certification is one of the most specialized credentials available in the electrical safety field.
The CESCP recognizes advanced competency in electrical safety program management and compliance with NFPA 70E, the national standard for electrical safety in the workplace. Fewer than 800 professionals worldwide hold the designation, making it among the most exclusive certifications in the industry. Cameron is currently the sixth holder in Georgia and the only known CESCP in South Georgia, bringing a rare level of credentialed expertise to the region’s electrical contracting sector.
As Safety Manager at Current Edge Solutions, Cameron leads the company’s safety, compliance, and risk management programs across multiple divisions. His duties include developing and implementing safety systems, ensuring compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and DOT regulations, conducting jobsite safety audits, and driving employee training, hazard identification, and incident prevention efforts.
Cameron holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Western Governors University and completed a four-year IEC electrical apprenticeship, earning Journeyman status in 2025. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration, expected to be completed in late 2026. Cameron’s additional certifications include OSHA 10 and 30-Hour Construction and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt, along with NFPA 70E training completed under both the 2021 and 2024 editions. He also holds two certificates from Western Governors University: one in Management and one in Strategic Thinking and Innovation.
Cameron is an active member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), contributing to the advancement of workplace safety and engaging with industry professionals across the region. In addition, he holds membership in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), staying current on the latest developments in electrical safety standards and codes.
