LRMC CEO Derek Rozier Named 2026 CEO of the Year by HomeTown Health

HINESVILLE, Ga. – Liberty Regional Medical Center (LRMC) is proud to announce that Chief Executive Officer Derek Rozier has been named HomeTown Health’s 2026 CEO of the Year. The award was presented during the organization’s 27th Annual Fall Conference, held October 21–23 at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia.

The prestigious recognition honors outstanding leadership among rural hospital executives, recognizing individuals who demonstrate a commitment to organizational excellence, quality patient care and the long-term success of rural healthcare facilities.

Rozier was selected following multiple nominations highlighting his strategic leadership, financial stewardship and dedication to strengthening healthcare services for the communities served by Liberty Regional Medical Center and Coastal Manor.

Under Rozier’s leadership, LRMC has continued to expand access to quality healthcare through initiatives including the addition of its Wound Care Center, recruitment of new physicians, a focus on the trauma department and improvements to hospital facilities. His focus on organizational growth, operational excellence and employee engagement has helped position LRMC for continued success while keeping the needs of patients, residents and staff at the forefront.

“Each year HomeTown Health is honored to recognize just a small number of the many individuals who are making a difference in their health systems, and their communities,” said Jimmy Lewis, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HomeTown Health, LLC. “Hospital leadership in rural facilities play an instrumental role in facility success and in setting the bar for excellence in service lines, patient care and outcomes, and in steering the ship of the entire team in dedication, commitment and resilience in this highly complicated industry.”

Rozier previously served as LRMC’s Chief Financial Officer for approximately a decade before transitioning into the CEO role. His extensive experience in hospital operations, financial management and strategic planning has helped guide the organization’s continued growth and commitment to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare close to home.

This marks Rozier’s second major leadership recognition from HomeTown Health, having previously been named the organization’s CFO of the Year in 2021.

“I am truly honored and humbled to receive this recognition,” said Rozier. “Having received the CFO of the Year award in 2021, it is especially meaningful to be recognized again in my role as CEO. While this award may have my name on it, it represents the dedication and hard work of an incredible team. I believe leadership is built on trust, a shared vision, and a commitment to our mission. A leader cannot be successful without a team that believes in that vision and works together to make it a reality. I am fortunate to serve alongside people who demonstrate that commitment every day. Our accomplishments are a reflection of their dedication to our patients, residents, and the communities we serve.”

HomeTown Health has supported rural hospitals for more than 25 years through advocacy, education and strategic resources designed to strengthen healthcare delivery in rural communities.
