SAVANNAH, Ga. – Forsyth Farmers’ Market –– a community-focused nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting area farmers and expanding access to fresh, local food –– is thrilled to host the 2026 Fall Harvest Picnic on Sunday, October 11th from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Daffin Park, located at Victory Dr. and Waters Ave. in Savannah. All proceeds from this fall-themed celebration of food and community will support Forsyth Farmers’ Market’s year-round community outreach programs.

Attendees are invited to bring picnic blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy locally sourced hamburgers, hot dogs, sides, desserts and more under the picturesque live oak canopy at the center at Daffin Park. Vegetarian and vegan food options will also be available.
The Savannah Jaycees will partner with Forsyth Farmers’ Market to offer a range of hands-on activities for kids of all ages, including pumpkin painting and arts and crafts activities. Attendees can enjoy live music by Skip Jennings and The Fractions throughout the afternoon.
“Our Fall Harvest Picnic will provide the ideal opportunity to enjoy a delicious picnic at Daffin Park while helping to support Forsyth Farmers’ Market programs that make fresh, locally grown food available to residents throughout Savannah,” said Asia Harold, Executive Director of Forsyth Farmers’ Market. “We warmly invite everyone to join us for family-friendly fun on October 11th and to support access to fresh, local food.”
Formerly known as the Farm Picnic, the Fall Harvest Picnic previously took place at the Old Dairy Farm on Savannah’s eastside. Forsyth Farmers’ Market will host this family-friendly fall celebration at Daffin Park for the first time on October 11th.
Forsyth Farmers’ Market organizes South Georgia’s largest farmers’ market and presents year-round community outreach programs designed to increase food access and improve community health, including 912 Food Farmacy and double SNAP/EBT benefits at the Saturday market at Forsyth Park.
“Food has the power to bring us together and to nourish the Savannah community,” said Kristin Russell, Forsyth Farmers’ Market co-founder, longtime board member and owner of Sentient Bean and Brighter Day. “We hope Savannah residents and visitors will plan to attend the Fall Harvest Picnic and to help ensure access to fresh, local food for all.”
