If Savannah Neighborhoods Had Personalities, Who Would They Be?

A completely unscientific (and very opinionated) guide to the people your neighborhood would be at the party.

By The Coastal Buzz

Some cities have neighborhoods.

Savannah has characters.

Every corner of the Savannah area has its own energy. Some feel old-soul elegant. Some feel artsy and unpredictable. Some feel practical and ambitious. Some definitely own a boat. Some absolutely have opinions about brunch.

So we asked a ridiculous but important question:

If Savannah neighborhoods were people… who would they be?

Here’s our completely unofficial field guide.

Ardsley Park

The Old Soul With Great Taste

Shows up overdressed in linen.

Knows how to make a proper cocktail.

Owns antique furniture with stories attached.

May be judging your landscaping.

Will absolutely notice your porch furniture.

Starland District

The Creative Rebel

Shows up late but brought a film camera.

Makes pottery.

Drinks obscure coffee.

The one who shows up when life gets messy.

Quietly solid.

The Laid-Back Charmer

Friendly with everybody.

Quiet confidence.

Grounded.

Low drama.

High loyalty.

Still believes in community.

Probably waves at neighbors.

Says things like:

“We liked it before everybody discovered us.”

May have a fishing spot they won’t tell you about.

The easygoing friend who secretly has life figured out.

Richmond Hill

The Outdoorsy Family Builder

Grounded.

Growing.

Nature-loving.

Weekend on the water.

Knows what a good school district means.

Probably owns an expensive cooler.

Likes being outside more than inside.

Can launch a boat and grill dinner.

Wilmington Island

The Chill Coastal Insider

And maybe that’s part of why people love living here.
