Dulany Industries, Inc. Names Savannah, Ga. Native Michael A. Jones, a Veteran Leader at The Home Depot, as President

SAVANNAH, Ga.Dulany Industries, Inc. –– the Savannah, Ga.-based parent company of Southern States Chemical, SeaGate Terminals and SeaPoint Industrial Terminal Complex –– recently named Michael A. Jones, an accomplished leader at The Home Depot, as President. In his new position, Jones is responsible for the long-term strength and vitality of the company’s operating businesses and for serving its employees, customers and leadership team.

Reed Dulany III continues to serve as Chairman and CEO of Dulany Industries, Inc., and the Dulany family remains the company’s owner.

Prior to joining Dulany Industries, Inc., Jones enjoyed an impressive 30-year career with The Home Depot, where he served most recently as the company’s Senior Director of Customer Solutions in Atlanta. A third-generation Savannahian, Jones originally joined The Home Depot in 1995 as an hourly sales associate and spent more than three decades with the company across its Store Operations, Home Depot Rental and Customer Solutions divisions. He managed the company’s rental operations and strategy nationwide, and later served as one of the senior leaders of the company’s Customer Solutions function, a global operation spanning seven countries on four continents.

Jones has a powerful commitment to serving the community and previously served as Chairman of the Board of the Better Business Bureau of Metro Atlanta, Athens and Northeast Georgia and on the Board of Directors at Execs in the Know, a global customer experience industry organization.

Jones was born and raised in Savannah, where his father and grandfather were known for their impact in business and their service to others. A proud father of four, he and his wife, Katherine, are currently relocating to the area with their two youngest children.
